We found that on some machines that the BACnet Server would not respond. This was due to a “setup.msi” error, and this has been fixed. The source code remains unaltered, but the download “setup.msi” has been updated on the SourceForge website.

Saturday, July 10th, 2010The BACnet Server project on Sourceforge has been updated. We have updated the software to use the very fine BACnet Stack source code from Steve Karg’s project, as well as added a button for One-Click downloads of an installable executable. All this can be found here:

BACnet Server launched
Sunday, January 10th, 2010BACnet Interoperability Testing Services, Inc has released a beta version of a free (open source) BACnet Server that runs on Windows computers. This software is aimed at developers starting to investigate the BACnet protocol. We hope that many users will contribute to the code base and establish a reference example of a BACnet Server device. The code is in C#, a computer language gaining in popularity that is easy to learn and to use. It is a complementary product to the (also free) “BACnet Browser in C#”.
